NEPA provided $1,504.92 in funding to assist the borough in converting from incandescent lighting to LED lighting in its traffic signals. This conversion will save the borough money in electric costs, reduce maintenance costs and lower overall energy demand and usage. Port Carbon Borough will save over $1,200 per year in energy and maintenance costs over 10 years and reduce their electric consumption by 7,000 kilowatt hours per year. | ||
