Senator Argall Joins Campaign To Ensure “Pennsylvania Works”

HARRISBURG – Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) yesterday joined a coalition of environmental, conservation, preservation, housing and research groups for a press conference to outline proposals to build jobs, promote prosperous and green communities, and advocate for government accountability.

The campaign, Pennsylvania Works!, will work to create public policy that puts Pennsylvanians to work and build a resilient, robust and green economy in communities across the state.

“For decades, economic development in Pennsylvania has been a constant struggle with victories and setbacks,” Argall said at the press conference. “We continue to fight for good-paying jobs in our area, and by thinking outside the box we can solve many of these problems.”

The mission of the Pennsylvania Works! campaign is to advocate for specific legislative and administrative initiatives that generate economic opportunities and job creation, promote government efficiency, and create vibrant, prosperous, and livable communities throughout Pennsylvania.

“Pennsylvania Works! is built on the common interest of all Pennsylvanians to develop economic opportunities and enhance the things we value, and I look forward to working with the members of this group to address these issues,” Argall added.

The event was Argall’s first press conference since being elected to the Senate after serving 24 years in the House. Argall will be taking over as Chairman of the Blight Task Force and has made neighborhood revitalization one of his top priorities in the current legislative session.

The 29th Senatorial District consists of Schuylkill County, as well as portions of Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton counties.
