Senator Argall Takes Part In LCCC Student Center Dedication

HARRISBURG – State Senator David G. Argall (R-29) took part in the grand opening and dedication of the Lisa Jane Scheller Student Center at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) today.

Argall was able to secure $100,000 state grant for the new student center, which includes a book store, game room and study area, will provide students with a relaxed atmosphere to further their studies and interact with classmates.

“The student center will serve as a safe and comfortable learning environment that will enhance the quality of life for students,” Argall said. “I am hopeful that the student center will create new opportunities for area students to succeed academically and get the most out of their college experience.”

“We are so pleased and fortunate to offer this wonderful new facility for our students to have a place to study and gather,” said LCCC’s President Donald Snyder. “LCCC is grateful for the overwhelming generosity in our community especially that of the Scheller family.” “Senator Argall has always played a critical role in LCCC’s success and we appreciate his ongoing support of the Morgan Center.”

The Scheller Student Center is located at the Morgan Center at 234 High Street in Tamaqua on the LCCC campus. The center was made possible by a generous donation by Roberta and Ernest Scheller, Jr. in honor of their daughter Lisa Jane.
