Argall Announces District Grant for Legion Posts

MAHANOY CITY – State Senator David G. Argall (R-29) today announced a grant benefiting five American Legion Posts throughout the 29th District. Argall announced the funding at the regional District meeting held at the American Legion Post 74 in Mahanoy City.

Five American Legion Posts in Coaldale, Quakake, Ringtown, Sheppton and Tamaqua will each receive $1,000 for electronic ceremonial bugles as part of a grant submitted last year.

“This is about helping our veterans and veteran organizations,” Argall said. “I commend the members of each post for the steadfast commitment to ensuring that we remember those fallen soldiers who have given their lives on the battle field. I look forward to continue working with these organizations in the future,” Argall added.

“As a veteran, and one involved with the American Legion, I am really pleased to see our elected officials, like Senator Argall, committed to our programs, said Joseph Cocco Jr., Past 13th District Commander. “We are pleased he was able to secure this grant.”
