The Argall Report: Act 90, Anti-Blight Law, Takes Effect

MINERSVILLE – This month’s local TV report by Senator Argall takes an in-depth look at Act 90, the Neighborhood Blight Reclamation and Revitalization Act. On April 25, 2011, Act 90, formerly known as Senate Bill 900, becomes law.

“A lot of time, effort and energy went into this legislation,” said Senator Argall. “It will take considerable time and effort to educate the public—including our local elected officials— on how to utilize our new anti-blight law throughout our state, which is why I think this show is very important, not only for residents of the 29th Senatorial District, but throughout the entire state.”

Act 90, the Neighborhood Blight Reclamation and Revitalization Act, modernized antiquated laws in dealing with blighted properties in across Pennsylvania. The Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania publicly unveiled their “Quick Guide: New Tools to Address Blight and Abandonment” as a resource in fighting blight.
