HARRISBURG – This month’s local TV report by Senator Argall focuses on the state’s ongoing efforts to reform its welfare system. Senator Argall recently interviewed Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare Secretary Gary Alexander to get an update from the administration as well as learn about new initiatives important to taxpayers.
“The unique occasion to sit down and interview Secretary Alexander regarding important issues to constituents is a rare but valuable opportunity,” said Argall, who recently sent out an e-newsletter asking constituents to submit questions for the interview. “Many concerns I keep hearing at the numerous town hall meetings I hold throughout the six counties I represent are addressed in this interview. With more tax dollars going to DPW than any other department, this program is a good opportunity to hear how we are reforming the way state government works.”
The program will air on:
- Blue Ridge Communications (Channel 13) every Monday at 10am and every Wednesday at 10:30pm.
- Comcast On-Demand on Channel 1/Get Local/Government/State Senate.
- Reading (Channel 21) and Hamburg (Channel 19) every Monday at 3pm and 8:30pm and every Tuesday at 9am.
- Service Electric (Channel 19) the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 7pm.
The program is also available on Shen-Heights TV, Hazleton’s WLYN TV 35 and MetroCast Communications Channel 10. Please check local listings for air times.
