HARRISBURG – The Senate Majority Policy Committee teamed up with the Senate Democratic Policy Committee to hold an unprecedented roundtable discussion on Senate Bill 76 Tuesday morning, according to the bill’s sponsor Senator David G. Argall (R-29).
“The bipartisan roundtable discussion focusing on Senate Bill 76 highlights the broad consensus that property taxes continue to cripple homeowners across the Commonwealth,” Argall said. “I remain committed, as do many of my colleagues, to eliminate this unfair and archaic tax as we continue to build momentum heading into the New Year. The roundtable was crucial to hear why we need move away from the current system.”
The discussion featured input from several groups, including the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, Pennsylvania Coalition of Taxpayer Associations, Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce and Industry, National Federation of Independent Businesses, Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center, Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association, Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs, and the Anderson Economic Group.
