HARRISBURG – In addition to being named the Chair of the Senate Education Committee, Senator David G. Argall (R-29) was also appointed by President Pro Tempore Kim Ward (R-39) to serve on six additional Senate committees for the 2023-24 legislative session.
Senator Argall will serve as the Vice Chair for the Senate State Government Committee. In this role, he will work closely with the chair of the committee, Senator Cris Dush (R-25), to develop and approve legislation regarding elections and ethics in state government. He will also serve as a member of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Finance, Rules and Executive Nominations, Transportation, and Urban Affairs and Housing Committees.
“My appointment to these key committees will help me pursue some of my top priorities for this legislative session, including finding new and creative ways to fight the spread of blighted buildings in our neighborhoods and fixing our roads and highways,” said Senator Argall. “I look forward to the opportunity to work in a bipartisan manner with my colleagues to improve the lives of every Pennsylvanian.”
“As we begin a new session, I also plan to continue to work with both Democrats and Republicans to enact meaningful welfare reform,” Senator Argall added. “I believe it is time to correct several defects in our existing welfare programs and ensure that taxpayer dollars are being spent responsibly.”
