State Funding Awarded to Replace Clark Street Bridge in Donaldson

HARRISBURG – A project to replace the deteriorating Clark Street Bridge over Good Spring Creek in Donaldson was awarded $453,881 in state funding today, according to Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) and Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-107). This project is a top priority for Frailey Township officials because of the high volume of residents, employers, construction vehicles, and first responders who use this bridge.

“Upkeeping our roads and bridges is an important piece of building strong communities, yet these projects can be very expensive for local governments,” said Argall. “I’m grateful this highly competitive state funding will help make Donaldson safer for motorists.”

“Investing in our local infrastructure is crucial to ensuring safe and reliable transportation for our communities,” said Stehr. “This funding will help replace the Clark Street Bridge, providing a much-needed improvement for residents and travelers in the 107th District and across the region. I’m happy to see support for critical projects that enhance safety and connectivity in our communities.”

This project was awarded an additional $100,000 from the Multimodal Transportation Fund in 2024.

This funding was awarded through the Multimodal Transportation Fund, which provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable system of transportation. The grants were approved during a public meeting of the Commonwealth Financing Authority today, an independent agency with fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
