Pottsville Legislators to Share Office, Hold Open House

POTTSVILLE – Senator David G. Argall (R-29) and Representative Mike Tobash (R-125) are now sharing an office located in downtown Pottsville in an effort to provide assistance to local residents at a reduced cost. The public is invited to meet with them at their first “open house” from 4pm – 6pm on Thursday, March 10th at 100 North Centre Street in Pottsville.

“I am pleased to share this office with Representative Tobash. Representing a sprawling district from Pine Grove to the Poconos, it is important for me to share offices. In these tough economic times, this saves thousands of dollars for the taxpayers,” stated Senator Argall.

Representative Tobash continued, “It’s important at the state level that we are mindful of saving taxpayers’ money and not duplicating services. Senator Argall and I thought it would be best to bring constituent services to the residents of the Pottsville area at a convenient downtown location. The office will allow us to deliver services at the highest possible quality with the lowest possible cost.”

The office, located at 100 North Centre Street, offers information on many different state programs, including property tax and rent rebate applications, PACE applications, higher education grant applications, copies of maps, absentee ballot applications, voter registration forms, state brochures and public service information, state ID cards, renewal applications for vehicle and license registrations and other PENNDOT paperwork. The district offices also provide information and updates on legislation, as well as copies of state laws and pending legislation.

Constituents are encouraged to contact the Pottsville office by calling 621-3400 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9am and 4pm and Thursdays between 9am and 6pm.
