Argall Announces New District Office in Pottsville

POTTSVILLE – State Senator David G. Argall (R-29) will open a new district office in Pottsville today to better serve local constituents.

The new district office is located at 100 North Centre Street. Constituents can contact the office by calling (570) 621-3400, via fax at (570) 622-6629, or by emailing the senator at dargall@pasen.gov.

“Constituent service has been one of my top priorities as a legislator in both the House and Senate and this office will allow me to directly serve residents in the Pottsville area,” Argall said.

Argall said that his district offices offer a wealth of information on valuable state resources, including property tax and rent rebate applications, PACE applications, higher education grant applications, copies of maps, absentee ballot applications, voter registration forms, state brochures and public service information, state ID cards, renewal applications for vehicle and license registrations and other PENNDOT paperwork. The district offices also provide information and updates on legislation, as well as copies of state laws and pending legislation.

“We will have a well-trained and experienced staff at this office to ensure that all district residents can get a timely response to any state-related problems or issues.”

“The downtown location of my new office will make these services more accessible for many local residents,” said Argall, who authored the Downtown Location Law in 2000 that encouraged state agencies to locate facilities in downtown areas. “The large geographic size of the 29th Senatorial District, four times the size of the House district which I represented, makes constituent service a challenge, but I am confident that the addition of the Pottsville office will offer better access to services.”

In addition to the new Pottsville office, Argall has district offices in Mahanoy City and Hamburg and shared offices in Tamaqua, Orwigsburg and Hamburg with Rep. Jerry Knowles, Saylorsburg, with Sen. Pat Browne and Slatington, with Rep. Julie Harhart, as a means of reducing costs. Argall previously shared his Hamburg office with State Senator Jim Rhoades. Argall also maintains a virtual district office on his website at senatorargall.com.
