HARRISBURG – Senator David G. Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks) released the following statement regarding the passage of the Commonwealth’s 2017-18 state budget:
“Today’s budget is just one piece of the puzzle. While it provides where the Commonwealth prioritizes money to be spent, there is still work to be done to pay for these priorities.”
“Many people have told me that if Pennsylvania were a business, the sheriff would be knocking at our door. The governor has continued to spend as if we don’t have a problem.”
“Our goal should be to reduce the dependence on government programs across the board, shrink the size and scope of state government and most importantly, reduce the burden on taxpayers.”
