HARRISBURG – Senator David. G Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks) recently hosted high school students from the Pottsville Area School District at the state Capitol. During the visit, seniors participated in a forum with Sen. Argall and Representatives Jerry Knowles (R-Berks/Carbon/Schuylkill) and Mike Tobash (R-Dauphin/Schuylkill).
The May edition of the Argall Report, a monthly television program by Senator Argall, features the half-hour Q&A between the local high school students and Argall, Knowles and Tobash.
“Civic engagement is important at any age, especially as students become eligible to vote,” Argall said. “When students in any grade visit the state Capitol, I enjoy fielding questions about the job, issues and anything else they would like to discuss. It’s important for me to hear their concerns, and important for them to know they have access to their local lawmakers.”
During their visit to the state Capitol, the students met with lawmakers, received a tour of Capitol and watched the Senate debate.
