HAMBURG – Senator David G. Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks) and Representative Jerry Knowles (R-Berks/Carbon/Schuylkill) will co-host a Concealed Carry Seminar in Hamburg on May 14 to educate gun owners about state laws regarding firearms with Berks County Sheriff Eric Weaknecht.
In addition to educating local residents about laws pertaining to gun ownership, the seminar will also help guide responsible gun owners through the process of applying for various permits.
The seminar will be held at Tilden Elementary Center at 524 West State Street. Registration will begin at 6 p.m., and the program will start at 6:30 p.m.
“Protecting and exercising our Second Amendment rights is a high priority for many local residents, but it is important to ensure state laws and safety guidelines are observed,” Argall said. “I look forward to speaking with local residents about responsible gun ownership.”
“As a lifelong Second Amendment advocate, I’m happy to co-host this event,” Knowles said. “If you own a handgun, or are thinking about purchasing one, I invite you to join us to refresh your knowledge of Pennsylvania’s gun laws and your constitutional rights.”
