WOMELSDORF – A borough park will receive state grant funding, according to Senator David G. Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks) and Representative Barry Jozwiak (R-Berks).
The grant was recently announced as part of the Community Conservation Partnerships Program administered by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
“I want to congratulate Womelsdorf for their successful application,” Argall said. “This grant funding is highly competitive and required considerable effort on the part of the local elected officials and many local volunteers.”
“The Commonwealth is investing in our communities and the lives of our residents,” said Jozwiak. “The children, parents and residents in this area will benefit from these improvements for years to come.”
The $40,000 state grant will be used for the rehabilitation of Womelsdorf Town Park to include the installation of play equipment with required safety surfacing, ADA access, landscaping and other site improvements.
