DCNR Grant Program for Outdoor Recreation ProjectsThe Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Bureau of Recreation and Conservation (BRC) grant program for 2017 will be open January 23 until April 12 for statewide, regional, and local recreation and conservation projects. Grants have been provided to almost 7,000 projects that have enhanced and protected the state’s waterways, trails, lands and recreation facilities. Grants will be considered for projects that best reflect Pennsylvania’s outdoor recreation priorities such as: community parks and recreation, land conservation, rivers implementation and trails. The workshops will provide potential applicants with technical assistance and information on the grants that are available for recreation, conservation, riparian buffer, and trail and community-based projects, as well as the criteria and requirements to apply. The workshops will be held in six locations across the state from November 2 – 17, 2016.
